About

I received my Ph.D. in history and Southeast Asian area studies from Cornell University in 2014, where my graduate work was recognized with the Lauriston Sharp Prize for outstanding contribution to the scholarship and community life of the Southeast Asia Program (SEAP). After Cornell, I held a number of visiting teaching and research appointments, including a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Mahindra Humanities Center, Harvard University, and a three-year term as a visiting assistant professor of history at Boston College.

Along the way, I published Sovereign Necropolis (2020), a well-reviewed academic monograph based on my dissertation research. My post-graduate work also included the publication of several original research articles and works of translation in peer-reviewed journals including Bulletin of the History of Medicine, Journal of the Siam Society, and Modern Asian Studies.

Since 2020, I have worked as an independent editorial consultant/content strategist and am now working as a scientific writer for a patient-centered outcomes research consultancy.
